I thought I would discuss some of the issues around sending newborn baby gifts. So with baby season coming up in September, October and November... yes we have a baby season! just think about what is going on nine months earlier, that's right, bad TV with reruns of Big Bang Theory, party season, summer holidays and Valentine's Day! We are loading up on Huggies Newborn nappies and all the practical goodies that will help Mum and Dad when Bub comes home.
We send out many baby gifts every week, some to residential homes and some to hospitals. I want to stress that sending to hospitals can have it's issues. New Mums are sent home super early now days, they can also be transferred to luxury hotels. Last week we had an excited Great Grandma on the phone that wanted a gift to go to a public hospital in Geelong, she ordered the gift the minute her Granddaughter gave birth, it was delivered over night, however, it was not forwarded up to the ward by the loading dock for three days! The new Mum had to go back to the hospital to pick it up, if it was delivered to her home directly, this drama would not happen. Also, remember, when they are leaving the hospital to finally go home with their new Bundle of Joy they don't want to have to go up and down to the car gathering all their gifts.. oh and the baby ! Just remember if you are not sure what to do, call us to discuss and we will be able to help 1300 733933... Speak soon.
