Well, the orders are now flowing in and our Team are madly preparing both the warehouses in Sydney. We normally receive half our annual turnover in 5 weeks of the year, so you can imagine the changes we have to make to our operation to cope with the demand of Christmas. We have an extra 20-30 casual staff that are added to our core team to help, and almost all of those have worked with us during previous Christmas periods.
The customers who are ordering now are not only organized they are saving money as they receive discounts on their large orders if they pay before the 30th November. The team and I love the Christmas rush, we have worked together for many years, and I have to admit this is my favourite time in my business as I get to work closely with all the girls. About 3 weeks before Santa Claus comes, we work from about 6am to 1-2am to get it all done. Christmas day we put our feet up and our families look after us, because basically we can’t move!
